How it’s Spread?
Through Vaginal, Anal, or Oral sex with an infected person
Signs and Symptoms:
- Sometimes there are none
- Females (Vaginal): Discharge, Painful urination, stomach or back pain, spotting, and pain during sex.
- Males (Penile): Discharge, Itch, Painful Urination, and testicle pain or swelling.
- If left untreated can cause serious complications.
How It’s Spread
Through Vaginal, Anal, or Oral sex with an infected person.
Through mutual masturbation, and sharing of sex toys.
Through direct contact with syphilitic sores or rashes or sharing of needles.
Signs and Symptoms:
- Starts with painless sores
- 2-24 weeks later a person might feel unwell and develop a fever, swollen glands, weight loss, headache, rash, hair loss, eye infection, warts, or meningtits.
- Untreated syphilis can lead to damage of the brain, heart, bones, or blood vessels and can cause death
How it’s Spread?
Through Vaginal, Anal, or Oral sex with an infected person.
Through mutual masturbation, and sharing of sex toys.

- Sometimes there are none
- Females (Vaginal): Discharge, Painful urination, stomach or back pain, spotting, and pain during sex.
- Males (Penile): Discharge, Itch, Painful Urination, and testicle pain or swelling.
- If left untreated can cause serious complications.
How it’s Spread?
Through Vaginal, Anal, or Oral sex with an infected person.
Through sharing of a needle, syringe or some other personal items.
Signs and Symptoms:
- 50% or individuals have no symptoms
- Fatigue, nausea and vomiting, low appetite, rash, joint pain, and yellowing of the eyes and skin.
How is it Spread?
HIV can be sexually transmitted through Vaginal, Anal, or Oral sex with an infected person.
Through sharing of needles or some personal items.
Signs and Symptoms:
- Mild flue-like symptoms two weeks to 4 weeks after exposure
- Years later – Fever, fatigue, weight loss, diarrhea, swollen lymph nodes, abnormal paps, shortness of breath, cough, vision loss, yeast infections, sores, herpes, and anemia can occur.
- Aids can lead to severe infections, cancer, dementia, and death.
